BioUtopia
BioUtopia is an experimental film exploring living subjects which exist harmoniously beyond binary expectation. The obscured visibility of underwater life and microorganisms creates room for queer ecology challenge dominant narratives around sexuality, binary thinking and the concept of nature itself. It invites you to envision idealised societies within these microscopic and aquatic worlds. These are spaces that embrace fluidity and interconnection. The bacterial colonies on the agar plates were lovingly grown from the human body. There is a richness in the intimacy of non human experience.
